So excited to have the Deebo in our health kit for my toddler! she goes to daycare and has picked up many sicknesses over the years. I'm excited to have a tool similar to our pediatrician's as a first step in determining if I'm overly worried about a sickness / my child pulling at her ear or complaining that something is in her ear or if there looks to be something going on in the ear that would warrant me making an appointment. We also had several bouts of strep last year and I can see how the Deebo and its flashlight positioning will be great for examining the throat if I'm concerned about that in the future!
I also really appreciate the book of info, which is valuable in understanding common peds medical issues on its own and information that certainly did not come with my other otoscope off Amazon. (I would google pictures of normal and abnormal ear drums instead, which can actually take quite a bit of time out of your day, esp. if you are worried about your kid!)
I bought this after trying blueberry pediatrics as a way to avoid unnecessary pediatrician visits for ear infection. This product has proven to be 100x more helpful than being able to speak to a pediatrician about symptoms. The little book it comes with is fantastic and the quality of the otoscope is another level above any of the other products I’ve tried. While I still believe in relying on a doctor, this allows me to avoid some unnecessary visits when I can compare day by day what’s in the ear. I can’t say enough positive things about this product.

I just purchased one after two grueling years of ear infections for my younger child. Within days I was using this to help identify that something looked off in my older son's ears. Sure enough, he had an ear infection. Ear infections have left me feeling helpless for a while, and I feel empowered to at least check now what's going on. Really glad I purchased this product!
Deebo has been a fantastic addition to our home. I have used the otoscope on both of my kids (6 and 2 ½ years old) and found it to be highly effective. I was very impressed with the light and magnification which provided a bright and clear view of the ear canal and eardrum. It has a durable yet light-weight design making it easy to handle. The guide is easy to follow and includes high quality images which really helps distinguishing between normal conditions and potential issues such as an ear infection or a clogged ear tube. We love our otoscope. It’s both user friendly and fun. We needed it soon after receiving it and it helped so much when calling the nurse to explained what was going on with my daughter. She wasn’t at all bothered by it since the doctors office had used something similar and she loved being able to use the toy one on her stuffy at the same time.

As a mom of 2, I can’t count how many times I’ve wondered if my kids’ obvious discomforts were the result of teething, respiratory viruses, ear infections, strep- or all of the above! It’s especially difficult to discern during those first few years, when they can’t tell you what’s going on yet. I have never had an otoscope in my medicine cabinet before but now that I do, I can’t remember what I did before this. I first bought it to check on my son’s ear tubes and thanks to this otoscope, I actually saved him a surgery. I had scheduled a surgery to remove his ear tubes but after monitoring the tubes daily with this otoscope, I felt like they were starting to come out naturally and on their own. I made the decision to postpone the surgery by a month so I could continue monitoring the tubes and in that time, his tubes fell out!! For such a small cost, I not only saved a surgery that would’ve cost thousands but also so much time and unnecessary surgery. I now use the otoscope to check on ear infections, wax, and sore throats. I love it and highly recommend keeping this tool at your fingertips if you’re a parent of young kids.
This is a great tool - it brings such peace of mind when wondering what is going on with your little one's ears. The book is also so easy to read and not overwhelming with information. My six-year-old has had hearing problems off and on for the past few years, and we end up going to Urgent Care and/or an ENT every single time we notice it. From fluid build-up to actual ear infections, swimmer's ear, a random full blockage from wax (?!) we literally walk in, they use the otoscope, tell us what they saw and we leave. This thing is a game-changer for me..the booklet that comes with it clearly explains how to identify what you're seeing. And the little toy otoscope is adorable, my son loved it and used it on his Mario stuffed animal while I inspected his ears, ha!! Highly recommend. Can y'all carry at-home strep test strips next?? :)
