Hi - I'm a mom who is improving your home medicine cabinet. I am also a prior Children’s Hospital Administrator. After years of working inside hospitals and doctor’s offices, I saw endless opportunities to bring easy healthcare into the home to avoid unnecessary doctor visits. When a kid gets sick, there are steps that parents can start providing at home to get to the answer faster, keep their schedule on track and even eliminate that unnecessary visit to the doctor.

As a mom, I watched my 4-year old daughter suffer from chronic ear infections. In moments of frustration, I would often say “I wish I could look in her ear and see what’s going on” to know where I should focus my next steps on. I tried to solve it with otoscopes I found on the market, but they were medical looking and did not provide the information to help me take the next step. Because I couldn’t see into her ears myself, I made unnecessary visits to the doctor, taking appointment slots that should have been for a sicker kid.

I launched Deebo with these experiences in mind. I saw the need for easy-to-use, medical tools for parents to start taking health steps at home. And to know how to provide valuable information to their doctor, if and when, they reach that step. I want parents to feel empowered to take those steps from the comfort of their home.

Now when my daughter is sick, she knows that the otoscope is a part of our home check-up process. First, it’s the thermometer, then it’s the otoscope, then it’s snuggles (all while I start feeling my stress levels fade away). I keep my day in control.
